In the bee-ginning, testing was done using a 28.8K-baud modem
on an Apple Macintosh IIfx computer with an Apple 13-inch, high-resolution
color monitor powered by an Apple 8-bit graphics card using numerous
browser releases of AOL, Internet Explorer, Mosaic,
Netscape Navigator and Communicator,
WebTV, and others. External-link
testing was provided by Link
Alarm and internal-link testing was done using SiteMill.
Link popularity was monitored using AltaVista,
InfoSeek and Sherlock.
