Veronica -- Acronym for Very Easy Rodent Oriented Net-wide Index to Computerized Archives, a constantly updated database of the names of almost every menu item of gopher systems. Can be searched from most gopher menus. See Gopher.
virus -- A software program that has the ability to attach itself to other software or files, without permission or knowledge of the user, and is usually designed to propagate itself, obtain "secured" information, alter operating systems, or destroy data.
virus signature -- The "fingerprints" of a virus which anti-virus programs use to identitfy and isolate viruses.
VR -- Acronym for Virtual Reality, a way of interacting within a sophisticated graphical database. Using special devices, a user can experience being in a computer-simulated / generated environment.
VRML -- Acronym for Virtual Reality Modeling Language, a way of describing virual reality experiences accessed via the Internet and integrated with the hypertextual power of the Web.
