Beehive Awards Program
gets "cooled" by ODP
The Open Directory Project
editor's choice star
has been "pinned" to our Beehive
Awards Program making it the Cool Site in the Computers:
Internet: On the Web: Best_of the Web: Site_Awards: Rated_Awards
category. This is the first known instance in ODP's history that
a Web award program has been selected "best of category."
Thanks, ODP!

Search links added
to Beehive Directory
It was quite a chore for the Beekeeper, but he finally did
it. Míc Miller has added
tens of thousands of "keyed" search links to the Beehive
Directory. These "ready-to-click" search links will
help you quickly find other available resources for each topic
on the Internet. So, if we Bees have not yet made a recommendation,
you can now "make a beeline" to see what may bee found
through AlltheWeb, AltaVista, Ask
Jeeves, Dogpile,
Google, Google
Groups, HotBot, and
Yahoo!
For example, let's say you go to Events:
Conferences: Brown County and do not find a recommendation
(or not enough), simply:
Search for
Brown County Indiana Conferences
on:
AlltheWeb
| AltaVista
| Ask
Jeeves | Dogpile
Google
| Google
Groups | HotBot
| Yahoo!
Míc felt this search ability was needed since The Beeline
will only list, and link to, Web pages that meet our high standards
for quality and usefulness. (After all, we Bees are, by nature,
very careful about what gets into our Hive.)
In addition to these direct search links, Míc has also
made it a little easier to suggest
a Web site or page. We hope you will take advantage of this
opportunity and send us a suggestion. If the Web page or site
meets our standards, it will bee listed in the appropriate area(s)
of the Hive.
